Product
The research canvas, in depth.
Axolect is built around one idea: macro research has structure, and your tools should enforce it. Here is how every layer of the product works.
Research with structure enforced at the data layer.
Every node on the canvas carries a declared type: Macro Theme, Catalyst, Position, or Evidence. Relationships between nodes are explicit - not implied by proximity. This structure is not optional. It is how Axolect ensures that a board is a thesis, not a collection of notes.
- -Node types: Theme · Catalyst · Position · Evidence
- -Explicit relationship edges with directional weight
- -Inline conviction and status tags (High Conviction, Monitoring, Live, Archived)
Market data inside the canvas, not next to it.
Data connections are attached directly to nodes. A position node knows its current price, P&L context, and rate environment - because those feeds are embedded at the node level. You do not switch between a chart and your thesis. The thesis updates with the market.
- -Equities, rates, FX, and commodity feeds
- -Data attributed and timestamped per node
- -Configurable refresh cadence per board
Teams working on the same surface, not on copies of it.
Presence is visible at the node level - you know who is editing what, in real time. Inline comments attach to specific nodes and relationships, not to the board in aggregate. Version history is continuous, not manual.
- -Real-time multiplayer with node-level presence
- -Inline comment threads per node
- -Continuous version history - no manual saves
Private by default. Shareable when you decide.
Boards are private to your workspace by default. Teams control access at the board level with role-based permissions. When you are ready to share, a board can be published to a community or shared via a controlled link - with full audit visibility on who accessed it.
- -Role-based permissions: owner, editor, viewer
- -Board-level sharing controls
- -Audit log for institutional compliance
How It Works
From blank board to institutional artifact.
A research session on Axolect follows a structured flow. Here is what that looks like in practice.
- 01
Open a board
Create a named research board scoped to a macro thesis, sector view, or position idea. Choose who has access.
- 02
Place your nodes
Add nodes with declared types. Each node is a discrete, typed unit of your research - not a free-form note.
- 03
Connect the logic
Draw explicit relationships between nodes. A Catalyst connected to a Macro Theme is a claim with a structure.
- 04
Attach data
Link market feeds to relevant nodes. The canvas updates as markets move. Your thesis is always in context.
- 05
Collaborate or publish
Invite team members or publish the board as a research artifact. Structure travels with the board.
